Eagle Bank and Trust Company executives will donate to the St. Louis Fire Department a Bullard Eclipse Thermal Imager during an official ceremony on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. at Engine House 31.

The thermal imaging device, which costs approximately $5,000, will help firefighters to see through smoke while detecting structural dangers that would put them at risk and enable them to find their victims faster. In addition, they can be used to search in darkness for victims lost outside at night, locate smoldering fires, detect overheating electrical equipment and more.

The Bullard Eclipse Thermal Imager is lightweight and designed to personally equip firefighters with thermal imaging technology.

Eagle Bank will be generously donating a dozen of these devices, one to each area municipality where an Eagle Bank branch is located.
