Lifesaving Awards Ceremony
St. Louis firefighters and paramedics to be recognized for their actions that saved a life.

Officials from the City's Department of Public Safety, St. Louis Fire Department and the Lifesaving Foundation will recognize firefighters and paramedics today at 1 p.m. during a ceremony at the Mildred E. Bastian Performing Arts Center Theatre, 5600 Oakland, on the campus of St. Louis Community College - Forest Park. The individuals will be recognized for their actions that saved a life.
The St. Louis Fire Department Lifesaving Foundation is a private 501(c)(3), nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that supports the St. Louis Fire Department and the people whom it serves. The Foundation is a way that individuals, corporations and organizations can contribute to helping the life-savers help citizens.
Through the St. Louis Fire Department Lifesaving Foundation new technology in safety gear can be purchased and educational opportunities can be provided which can make the difference in life and death situations.
