Nov. 15 – America Recycles Day, Missouri History Museum, 10 a.m.
The City of St. Louis Recycling Program
will commemorate America Recycles Day
from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, by hosting an information table
with lots of literature about the City's single-stream, curbside pick-up recycling
program as well as its schools' recycling program, free give-aways made of
recycled materials, games, crafts and more. The table will be located
inside the park-side entrance of Missouri
History Museum

Nov. 16 – Meet Famed Missouri Artist Bryan
Haynes, The Old Courthouse, 2 p.m.
The
National Park Service is inviting everyone to the Old Courthouse this Saturday
at 2 p.m. for a special discussion by famed Missouri Artist Bryan
Haynes. His talk will feature his exhibit Trees/Water/Sky, which is
currently on display in the Old Courthouse until Jan. 2014. The display
depicts Native Americans, early settlers, local lore and sweeping views of Missouri landscapes. Haynes will also sign copies of his new book,
"New Regionalism -- The Art of Bryan Haynes." The Old Courthouse is

Blood Drive
St. Louis
Fire Department Local 73 will hold a blood
drive in memory of Aaron Hefner this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the
IAFF Local 73 Union Hall located at 4271 Delor Street in the Bevo Mill neighborhood. Hefner was shot and
killed during an attempted robbery in Dec. of 2010. He was 20 years old.
