Continuum Services

Groupings of services and listings of which CoC Members provide them.

   

      Health providers ensure access to quality, comprehensive health care and social services for homeless people in our community without discrimination.    

 
Domestic Violence service agencies provide abused women and their children a safe place to stay and supportive services to help them begin to heal and support themselves.

Single men and women shelters and services offer a bed, a warm meal, a hot shower, and the dignity of being addressed by name for people experiencing homelessness.

Preventive Services include programs for which the primary purpose is to prevent the incidence of homelessness such as: short-term subsidies to defray rent and utility arrearages, to prevent foreclosure on a home, and mediation programs for landlord-tenant disputes.

Veteran service providers are nonprofit community-based organizations that provide supportive services—including housing, training, employment, and medical services—for male and female veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Providers offer a range of services such as: case management, household management, child care, education, employment services, housing services, legal services, mentoring programs, computer literacy, and support groups-just to name a few.

These service providers give homeless women and their families safe, clean housing, support and the skills to become self-reliant.

Providers in this area work with youth under 18 years of age experiencing homelessness, helping them find safety from the streets and giving them access to resources to help them move from crisis to healthy functioning and independent lives.

Providers in this area provide short-term shelter, transitional housing, case management, and other supportive services for families who are homeless.
