Photo of Garrett Allen

Garrett Allen serves as an Administrative Assistant to Mayor Cara Spencer. Specifically, he is responsible for working the thousands of constituent services cases our office receives every year. A fierce constituent advocate, Garrett helps deliver on Mayor Spencer's mission of improving basic city services for our residents.

Before joining Mayor Spencer’s team, Garrett was her Executive Secretary at the City of St. Louis Board of Aldermen, and concurrently served on the 4th Ward and 6th Ward teams of Alderman Bret Narayan and Alderwoman Daniela Velázquez. At the Board of Aldermen, Garrett’s primary role was receiving, tracking, and helping resolve thousands of constituent services cases across the 8th, 4th, and 6th Wards. He developed a new constituent casework system that continues its use, in upgraded form, at the Mayor’s Office for citywide operations.

Before joining the City of St. Louis government, Garrett worked for several local Democratic political campaigns and at the 21st Judicial Circuit Court. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2022 with a B.A. in International Affairs, and with secondary academic focuses in English Literature, Spanish, and Molecular Biology. He has been a proud St. Louisan since 2006. Garrett loves rock climbing, novels, and his four younger siblings.
