Virtual Court

Most court sessions in the Municipal Division are virtual court dates. Learn how to tell whether your court date is a virtual session, how to attend a virtual session, and how to request an in-person court session.

Overview

Most court sessions in the St. Louis City Municipal Division are virtual court dates. If you received a traffic citation, a Metro fare violation citation, or a citation issued by a police officer, look at the Division number shown in the upper right hand corner of the front of the citation. If the Division number is V1, V2, V3 or V4 your court date is for a virtual appearance. If you received a non-traffic charge by information in the mail, the courtroom will be shown on the top right side.

Technology for Virtual Court Appearances

To appear by video, you will need a smartphone (iPhone or Android), or a desktop, laptop or tablet computer with internet access and a microphone and camera (or just a microphone to appear by audio only). If you don’t have Internet access, you can still attend by telephone with audio only.

To attend on-line, you must download the WebEx meeting app. Click on the Download button and follow the instructions that will appear on the screen. WebEx may ask for your name and a valid email address during installation. View more detailed instructions for attending virtual court.

To attend by telephone with audio only, call the long distance number for your courtroom. Enter the meeting number for the session provided below and then enter ##.
