Built in 1967 on the southwest corner of Benton Park, the Cherokee Recreation Center features a gymnasium, boxing and workout room as well as a craft room and an indoor swimming pool.  

Use of the center is free, boxing is a popular evening activity Monday through Friday.

Benton Park also has a playground, lake and two tennis courts.

Cultured Pearls is a Mentoring Program for young girls to have a safe haven and connect with their peers and mentors to share similar interests, thoughts, and ideas along with doing activities.
