Colin McCoy

Bureau of EMS - Deputy Chief Paramedic

Deputy Chief Paramedic Colin McCoy was hired as a Paramedic by St Louis City EMS on December 18, 1995. He served on various assignments across the city in the field as a Paramedic and Paramedic Crew Chief including Medic 6, M-5, M-31 and Triage Officer.

In 2004 then Paramedic Crew Chief McCoy was charged with developing and implementing the STLFD EMS Continuous Quality Improvement/ Quality Assurance (CQI/CQA) program. While in this position Paramedic Crew Chief McCoy served on state wide committees for Time Critical Diagnosis implementation and the
implementation of EMS agencies across the state participating in the Missouri Patient Safety Organization.

Deputy Chief Paramedic McCoy served as a Field Supervisor from May of 2009 to December of 2025 on both the A and D Platoons. He was appointed to his current position as Deputy Chief Paramedic in January of 2026.
