Fallen Firefighters' Table
A solemn moment during the program as fallen firefighters were remembered. The pristine table is set for two as firefighters always work in pairs. There is salt on the plate, symbolic of the tears shed by friends and family. A slice of lemon is on the plate to remind us of their bitter fate. The chairs are empty – - they are not here; but we will never forget them.
