Dotson, 43, an 18-year veteran of the department, was among 11 candidates for Police Chief. Dotson has held the job since Jan. 1, 2013, when Chief Dan Isom stepped down to take a teaching position.

The Mission Continues team bid a fond farewell on Feb. 1 to its team's Chief of Staff, Gregg Favre. After 18 months away from the St. Louis Fire Department, the call to serve has proven too strong, and Gregg is returning to fight fires and train the best our City has to offer.

Building Division employee Judy Meyers retired on Jan. 31, 2013. Judy started with the Building Division on Oct. 11, 1992 and served as a Clerk Typist II. Happy retirement, Judy!

Twenty-one men were sworn in on Feb. 4, 2013 as members of the Altmann Firefighter Recruit Class. After 12 weeks of training, these new City employees will join the nearly 700 person team that makes up the St. Louis Fire Department.
