Archway (MO) Chapter of the Links, Inc.
The Archway (MO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated provides culturally responsive mentorship, STEAM enrichment, leadership development, and social-emotional support programming for middle school girls in St. Louis to promote academic engagement, confidence, and positive youth development.
Program Overview
The Archway (MO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, provides enrichment and mentorship programming for 6th–8th grade girls attending Marian Middle School in St. Louis. Through STEAM education, leadership development, college and career exploration, cultural enrichment, and social-emotional learning opportunities, the program supports youth who may be impacted by community violence, trauma exposure, poverty, and educational inequities.
The program partners with Marian Middle School and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) to sustain an NSBE Jr. Chapter that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and exposure to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) careers. Participants engage in hands-on STEAM activities, workshops, and educational experiences designed to build confidence, academic motivation, and future career readiness.
Services include college and career exploration workshops, guest lectures from professionals in fields such as engineering, healthcare, finance, and the arts, cultural and STEAM-focused field trips, mentoring opportunities, coping skills workshops, and activities focused on social-emotional growth and conflict resolution. The program also works collaboratively with school administrators, faculty, families, and community partners to support youth engagement and positive developmental outcomes.
The program is funded by Prop S for 2026
The program is operated by The Links, Incorporated.
