William & Associates

Williams & Associates, Inc. provides violence prevention, mentorship, life skills, and resource navigation services for high-risk youth and young adults in North St. Louis to reduce substance misuse, prevent violence involvement, and strengthen positive community engagement.

Program Overview

Williams & Associates, Inc. provides community-based violence prevention and youth development programming for young people residing in the Hamilton Heights and Walnut Park neighborhoods of St. Louis. The program serves youth and young adults who are at elevated risk for violence involvement, substance misuse, school disengagement, and other adverse outcomes due to environmental factors, including gun violence, homicides, and community instability.

The program delivers skill-building workshops focused on conflict resolution, refusal skills, decision-making, communication, emotional regulation, and violence prevention strategies. Workshops are designed to strengthen protective factors, improve interpersonal skills, and support participants in making healthy and informed life choices. Participants also engage in mentorship and peer support activities that connect youth with trained mentors, peer educators, and supportive adults who provide guidance, accountability, encouragement, and ongoing relationship-building support.

Williams & Associates incorporates motivational interviewing, peer mentorship, structured facilitation, and culturally responsive engagement strategies to support participant growth and development.

Participants receive resource navigation services connecting them to counseling, educational opportunities, workforce development programs, healthcare services, behavioral health support, and community resources. External referral partnerships include schools, healthcare providers, law enforcement, community organizations, and workforce development agencies to help participants access additional supports and opportunities.

The program also conducts neighborhood outreach and engagement activities through schools, faith-based institutions, libraries, recreation facilities, and community events to increase awareness of available services and referral pathways. Follow-up services include participant check-ins, surveys, interviews, progress tracking, and continued mentorship support to assess participant outcomes and maintain engagement after program completion.

The program is funded by Prop S for 2026.

The program is operated by Williams & Associates, Inc.
