The Marriage Department provides copies of marriage licenses issued 1932-present. You can obtain these copies online or via the Marriage Department office, using the instructions below.
For marriage licenses issued before 1932, please visit the Archives Department.
Preparation
Be ready to provide:
- Both Applicant Names (First Name + Middle Name + Last Name)
- Ceremony Date (Month + Day + Year)
You can use the marriage record search tool to find this information. - Payment (see below for fee structure and payment methods)
Instructions
By Mail
- Fill out the Marriage License Copy form.
- Send the completed form with payment and a Self-Addressed-Stamped Envelope (or add 50 cents to payment for U.S. mailing/$2.00 for international mailing) to the following address:

- $12.00 Nonrefundable fee for each copy of Certified Marriage Certificate
- $3 Nonrefundable fee for each copy of Uncertified Marriage Certificate
- Visa/MasterCard or cash accepted
Mail-in
- $12.00 Nonrefundable fee for each copy of Certified Marriage Certificate
- $3 Nonrefundable fee for each copy of Uncertified Marriage Certificate
- Include self-addressed stamped envelope, or add 50 cents for US mail or $2.00 for international mail
- Check, money order or cash accepted
Online
- $12.00 Nonrefundable fee for each copy of Certified Marriage Certificate (+ $10 service fee, $1.50 for standard mail, $30 for FedEx Overnight)
- $3 Nonrefundable fee for each copy of Uncertified Marriage Certificate (+ $10 service fee, $1.50 for standard mail, $30 for FedEx Overnight)

You will receive your copies during your visit.
Mail-in
You will receive your copies within 10 business days.
Online
You will receive your copies within 10 business days if you choose standard mail, or overnight if you choose FedEx overnight.
