Charlesetta Taylor & Beverly and Helen Brown
Resident Interview for 2530 N. Market St.
The Taylor and Brown families have called the dwelling at 2530 N. Market Street home for more than 70 years. Beverly and Helen Brown (sisters) were born in the house and Charlesetta Taylor (cousin to the Brown sisters) moved into the home with her family during the 1940s. Hear stories from the ladies who grew up together at 2530 N. Market Street – a household of 13 children and two tightly-knit families. The Taylor-Brown house is the only property moved from the NGA site. The interviews were conducted on the morning that the house (owned by Charlesetta Taylor) was being relocated to St. Louis Avenue, just north of the NGA site.
