Deanetta James

Deanetta James grew up in the JeffVanderLou neighborhood, just west of the NGA footprint. She was married to Percy Edward James, Jr., a professional percussionist who performed with Quartette Tres Bien. Deanetta worked closely with Macler Shepherd, a renowned housing advocate who founded JeffVanderLou Development Corporation. She shares wonderfully described memories of her neighborhood and her husband.
