How to pay a parking ticket online, by phone, by mail, or in person.

Overview

Parking tickets issued by the City of St. Louis must be paid within 30 days of issuance to avoid additional fees.  

Information on ticket status, tow status, and how to contest a ticket is available by calling the Parking Violations Bureau at (314) 627-2232.

Phone hours are 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. 

Preparation

  1. Review parking policies and fine structure.
  2. Be ready to provide the ticket number or the car plate information.  

Instructions

There are four options for payment of tickets and fees:

Pay By Mail

Payments can be made by mail by sending the ticket along with personal check, cashier's check or money order to:

Pay By Phone

Payments can be made by phone using the Integrated Voice Response System (IVRS) system 24 hours a day 7 days a week. To pay by phone please have the ticket or notice and one of the following credit cards available: Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover. During the hours of 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday (excluding City Holidays) callers have the option of being transferred from the IVRS to a Customer Service Representative to obtain detailed ticket information.

Pay at Walk-in Site

Tickets and fees can be paid in person at the Parking Violations Bureau Office:

During the hours of 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Payments can be made in cash, check, money order, Visa or Master Card. Customer Service Representatives are available to provide ticket and payment information.

Pay Online

Secure online payment can be made using any of the following credit cards: Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover. Please have the 8 digit ticket number available

Fees

Important

A failure to pay or successfully contest a parking ticket on a timely basis can result in significant late payment penalties and collection fees. 

When a violator fails to pay a $20 meter fine within 30 days, the total amount due is $40.00 - the $20 original fine plus a $20 late payment penalty.

After 45 days, the amount due becomes $80.00 - the $20 original fine, plus a $60 late payment penalty.
