The St. Louis Public Library will present three thought-provoking authors during December: Kevin Killeen, Paul Lukacs, and Calvin Trillin. All programs are free and open to the public.

* Calvin Trillin will discuss and sign his new book, Dogfight: The 2012 Presidential Campaign in Verse, at the Schlafly Branch, 225 N. Euclid Avenue at 7 p.m. on Dec. 7. The event is co-sponsored by Left Bank Books. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Left Bank Books.

* Kevin Killeen will discuss and sign his new book, Never Hug a Nun, at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 in Central Library's Carnegie Room, 1301 Olive Street. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Left Bank Books.

* Paul Lukacs will discuss and sign his new book, Inventing Wine: A New History of One of the World's Most Ancient Pleasures, at 7 p.m. on Dec. 13 in Central Library's Auditorium, 1301 Olive Street. Books will be available courtesy of Left Bank Books.
