Conditionally Vacate Certain Portions of Barnes Hospital Plaza from Kingshighway

Summary

The overall purpose for this bill is to conditionally vacate the following public streets. 1) An irregular portion of Barnes Hospital Plaza from Kingshighway east 625.31 feet, 2) an irregular portion of Kingshighway beginning 133.96 feet north of Barnes Hospital Plaza and extending northward 125.8 feet for aerial and subsurface only, 3) a 4.55 foot x 32.08 foot section of Barnes Hospital Plaza near the centerline of the street beginning 249.96 feet east of Kingshighway. The Petitioners are Barnes-Jewish Hospital and The Washington University. The vacated areas will be used for the support column for the relocation of existing bridge, redesign and enhance hospital entry, expand patient area and provide underground vault for utilities.
