The ADA Specialist implements all aspects of election accessibility as set forth by the St Louis City Board of Elections.
The Board of Elections provide training before the election and support for poll workers on election day. No experience is required. The ADA specialist poll worker is paid $275 per election.
Preparation
Make sure you meet the requirements to be a ADA specialist poll worker:
- Able to read, write and speak English.
- Must have your own vehicle.
- Able to lift 40 lbs.
- Able to work the full day, 5am-7pm.
- Be a registered Missouri voter.

What to Expect
After you apply, you will receive a letter or email with information on training sessions. The training session will last 1.5-2 hours.
After you've attended the training session, you'll be assigned to work at a polling location or serve as an alternate.
You will receive payment two weeks after the election is over.
