Important Dates
Personal Property Tax Declaration forms must be filed with the Assessor's Office by April 1st of each year.
All Personal Property Tax payments are due by December 31st of each year.
Missouri State Statutes mandate the assessment of a late penalty and interest for taxes that remain unpaid after December 31st. Additional interest will accrue on all delinquent property taxes on the first day of each month from January to September for every year they are delinquent. Declaration forms received by the Assessor’s Office after April 1st are subject to a 10% penalty.

About the Personal Property Tax
The Personal Property Department collects taxes on all motorized vehicles, boats, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, and business property. The value of your personal property is assessed by the Assessor's Office. These tax bills are mailed to citizens in November and taxes are due by December 31st of each year.
The Personal Property Tax Department can print personal property tax bills, tax receipts, and assist taxpayers with their inquiries pertaining to personal property tax payments. Only the Assessor's Office can change the vehicles or addresses on a personal property tax bill.
