Obtain a Personal Property Tax Receipt

Instructions for how to find City of St. Louis personal property tax history, print a tax receipt and/or proceed to payment.

Overview

Personal property tax receipts are available online or in person at the Collector of Revenue's Office.

An online tax receipt will be accepted at the Missouri Department of Revenue license offices when licensing your vehicle.

Preparation

You will need:

  • the personal property address, or
  • the account number, or
  • the name of the property owner

Instructions

  1. Click the "Begin Online" button and enter your address, full name or account number.
    • Searching by "Account Number" is most reliable.
    • Searching by address requires an exact match of what is in the personal property record.
  2. In the search results, choose the personal property account you're looking for.
  3. You can print a receipt for each year using the "Print Account" option.
  4. Print receipt for tax years paid. If taxes are due, you may proceed to payment.

Fees

There is no charge for receipts obtained online. There is a $1.00 fee for an official duplicate receipt obtained in person.
