City of St. Louis to Host June 5 Hiring Event for Seasonal Utility Workers and Recreation Positions
SLATE and the Department of Personnel partner to fill positions supporting summer operations across the City of St. Louis.
The St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE) and the Department of Personnel are hosting a joint hiring event on Friday, June 5, to fill immediate openings for limited-term utility workers, lifeguards, lifeguard supervisors and recreation assistants.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at SLATE:
1520 Market St.3rd Floor Conference Room
St. Louis, MO 63103
These seasonal positions last approximately six months and are excellent opportunities for job seekers looking for steady, hands-on outdoor work, valuable experience and a pathway into public service. City of St. Louis residency is not required.
Position Overview
- Pay Rate: Starting at $16.91 per hour (varies by position).
- Departments: Parks Division, Forestry Division and Recreation Division.
- Available Roles: Utility workers, recreation assistants, lifeguards and lifeguard supervisors.
Applicant Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Preference is given to candidates with one year of general manual labor, construction or groundskeeping experience.
- Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions, depending on the position.
