Summary
The St. Louis Promise Zone was designated in April of 2015 to strategically advance the community towards social and economic mobility through intentional, coordinated investment. As the largest of 22 Promise Zones across the U.S. the St. Louis Zone spans across 28 municipalities, 11 wards, 25 ZIP codes, and seven school districts. The Promise Zone operates through collaborative committees, each tasked with advancing one of six goals.

The six goals for the St. Louis Promise Zone are: Increase Economic Activity, Increase Workforce Readiness, Improve Educational Outcomes, Improve Health and Wellness, Reduce Serious and Violent Crime, and Develop Sustainable Communities.
