Role of the Stabilization Advisory Committee

After analysis and review by Prop NS staff and inspectors from the City's Building Division, nominated buildings are presented to the 7-member Stabilization Advisory Committee.

Three members serving on this committee are appointed by the Mayor and four members are appointed by alderpersons representing the four wards with the highest percentage of vacant, LRA-owned properties. Each member's appointment is for a two-year term.

The committee will review and provide feedback on the nominations and will forward their recommendations to the LRA Board of Commissioners, which will then approve or deny use of Prop NS funds for each nominated property.

Scheduled Meeting Dates

Stabilization Advisory Committee meeting are held on the second Tuesday of each month.  Here are the upcoming scheduled meetings for 2024:

• Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 4:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 4:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 4:30 p.m.
