Apply for FEMA Disaster Assistance

Individuals who sustained damage or losses due to the May 16 tornado in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis and St. Charles counties may now apply for FEMA disaster assistance. The deadline to apply is August 11, 2025.

Business Recovery Center

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has opened an SBA Business Recovery Center in St. Louis to assist small businesses, private nonprofit organizations and residents affected by the May 16 tornado. SBA customer service representatives will be on hand at the Center in St. Louis to answer questions and assist with the disaster loan application process.

United Way Disaster Assistance

Submit the United Way disaster intake form to request assistance with general unmet needs (food, water, financial assistance, transportation, etc.) in addition to home damage. This intake form is for individuals and households only.

Red Cross Financial Assistance

The American Red Cross of Missouri is here to help people who may be experiencing major roadblocks to recovery after the May 16, 2025, tornado in St. Louis. In addition to meeting the community’s basic needs of food and shelter, financial assistance is available to those who have qualifying damage.
