FEMA Disaster Assistance
The deadline to apply for individual financial assistance from FEMA was August 26. Visit a Disaster Recovery Center for additional help.
Disaster Recovery Centers
Disaster Recovery Centers with FEMA Individual Assistance staff are open in the City of St. Louis to help people affected by the May 16 tornado and storms.
At all locations, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will help impacted residents with disaster assistance, answer questions, and upload required documents.

Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance
The Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance (DCI) can provide support and guidance to tornado-impacted individuals as they work through the post-disaster claims process. DCI experts are on call to help answer questions about claims and any other insurance topics via the department’s Consumer Hotline at 800-726-7390. Consumers can also visit insurance.mo.gov for more information and resources.
