The Accounting Services Section of the Comptroller's Office is responsible for all City of St. Louis accounting activities.
Reviews, processes and pays for all city expenditures for goods and services.
General Ledger Control Group
Manages and balances the city's Automated Accounting System (AIMS). This control function encompasses data entry, document flow, and generates all journal entries.
Central Business Index
Central Business Index personnel maintain and continually update files containing tax and license records. These files are used to process tax clearances and various reports.
Decisions regarding risk to insure or self-insure are made through the Public Facilities Protection Corporation (the city's self-insurance program) with the input of the Comptroller's representative.
