Forestry Division Data

The percentage of hazard tree removal work orders that are completed in 30 days or less.

Hazard Tree Removal

The Forestry Division is responsible for planting, trimming, and removing street and park trees.

Routine tree inspections flag hazardous trees for removal, normally within 30 days. The goal is to complete all validated, hazardous tree requests within 30 days. However, performance can be impacted by vacant Tree Trimmer Trainee and Tree Trimmer positions, increased number of requests (ex. tornado), and re-prioritization. Additional analysis is underway and will inform future initiatives.

These results show an upward trend as the Division evaluates alternate measures to address demand. These measures include external support and balancing the optimization of routes versus emergency work.

Data in Q2 and Q3 2025 also reflect potential tornado recovery impact.
