July 3, 2025 | 2 min reading time

Following the May 16 tornado, City Court temporarily suspended issuing bench warrants for failure to appear in court, in order to provide time for those affected by the tornado to address immediate problems without the additional concern of a new bench warrant. As of August 4, 2025, two and a half months following the tornado, City Court will resume issuing bench warrants for failure to appear in court.
