Pay a Municipal Court Fine on a Disposed Case
How to pay fines and court costs assessed by a judge after you or your attorney have appeared in court.
Overview
A case is referred to as disposed when a judge has assessed a fine and court costs after you or your attorney have appeared in court.

Preparation
Before you start to make a payment, you must have:
- your case or ticket number(s) for the fines you want to pay,
OR - your full name as it appears on your ticket, and your date of birth.
If you do not know the case number(s) for the required payment:
- call the St. Louis City Municipal Court at (314) 622-3231 to obtain your case or ticket number(s),
OR - search for your case number(s) online.
Instructions
In Person
- You must have a picture ID and your case number(s). If you plan to pay by debit or credit card, the name on your picture ID must match the name on the card.
- Come to the St. Louis City Municipal Court located at 1520 Market Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63103, Suite 1120 (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. except on City holidays).
- Take a number at the customer service counter.
The Municipal Court accepts cash, money orders, certified or cashier’s checks, attorney client trust account (IOLTA account) checks, and major credit/bank debit cards (Master Card/Visa) except American Express. The Municipal Court does not accept personal checks or gift cards.
You may make a minimum partial payment if you pay in person. If you make a partial payment, you will be given a new date for your next installment.
Mail-In Payment
Mail in payments must be in the form of a cashier’s check or money order.
- Write your case number(s) on your cashier's check or money order. Including your name and date of birth is also helpful.
- If you would like a receipt for your payment, or if you make a partial payment and would like your new payment date sent to you by mail, include a self-addressed stamped envelope for the court to use.
- Mail your payment to the address below.

Dropbox
Dropbox payments must be in the form of a cashier’s check or money order.
- Write your case number(s) on your cashier's check or money order. Including your name and date of birth is also helpful.
- Place your payment in a sealed envelope.
- If you would like a receipt for your payment, or if you make a partial payment and would like your new payment date sent to you by mail, include a self-addressed stamped envelope for the court to use.
- Place your payment in the dropbox at the location below.
The red locked dropbox for payments is located outside 1520 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63103, on the Market street side, immediately to the left of the main entrance to the building.
Do not make a payment with cash or personal check at the drop box.

Online payment is provided by the PayIt St. Louis portal. There is a small convenience fee to pay online.
The portal will require you to create an account or login as guest. Be prepared to have the following ready:
- Case numbers(s) or Ticket Number(s)
- Full Name and Date of Birth
- Personal email address to register with Payit online

For cases filed on or after January 2, 2024, online payment is provided by the Case.net Pay By Web application.
Use the Begin Online button to pay online using Pay By Web.
- Select “City of St. Louis - 22nd Judicial Court” from the drop down menu for “Search for cases in”
- Enter the full case number from the upper right hand corner of the front of the citation. Click Find.
- Pay your fine.
- If you were issued more than one citation, you must repeat the process for each citation.
