Information about the City of St. Louis Forestry Division's Tree-Membrance Program - donate or dedicate a tree in a City park in memory of or in honor of a person or event

Overview
The City of St. Louis Forestry Division's Tree-Membrance Program offers participants a unique way to honor a loved one or remember a special event by donating a new tree or dedicating an existing tree in a city park. While new trees sometimes have trouble establishing themselves and have to be replaced, existing trees are already a permanent part of the landscape.
The Forestry Division will dedicate or plant a tree in a selected park and attach a tree tag to it. The tree tag will list the type of tree, name of the donator(s) and name of the honored person or event.
Trees grow for many years making them an enduring living memorial for a loved one, or a wonderful way to honor someone on their birthday, marriage, anniversary or any special occasion. Trees can be planted or dedicated in most city parks, including Forest Park.
