Overview

The City of St. Louis Forestry Division appreciates when residents let them know that there is a problem with weeds and debris. Department personnel may already be aware of the a situation and may already be working to solve it, but sometimes your call is what's needed to learn about a problem.

Preparation

  • Read the vegetation guidelines to ensure the property is in violation.
  • Prepare to provide as much information as possible. Include:
    • Address or intersection
    • A description of conditions
    • What rule or guideline the property is violating
    • A photo (optional)

  2. Complete the steps and submit the request.

What to Expect

  • You will receive an email with a request ID number. You can use the number to check the status of the service request.
  • After an inspection, if an occupied property is found out of compliance, the Forestry Division will send out a violation notice to the property owner, giving them 10 days to abate the issue, or the city will abate the property and issue the abatement fee and a fine of $100.
