Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position assist Mechanical Maintenance Workers with maintaining, installing and repairing buildings, mechanical equipment systems (HVAC), building security equipment and concrete structures. Positions require shift, weekend and holiday assignments, mandatory overtime and 24-hour snow call. Candidates must provide their availability for shift and weekend assignments on the Availability Section of the Employment Application.

An Associate’s degree in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating Technology from a recognized educational institution; OR two years of experience installing, repairing and maintaining high and low pressure steam boilers and pumping systems, air handling equipment and other related mechanical equipment. OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.

Employees assigned to St. Louis Lambert International Airport may be eligible for a commuting allowance of $141.00 bi-weekly.
A ten year background investigation will be conducted in accordance with FAA regulations with positions at St. Louis Lambert International Airport.
