Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for performing specialized administrative work providing assistance and support to the City of St. Louis Civil Service Commission. The incumbent prepares agendas, public notices, and minutes of meetings, assists in drafting proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law, runs video recording equipment to record hearings, and prepares verbatim transcripts of Civil Service Commission hearings as needed. The position requires frequent contact with appellants, legal counsel, and hearing officers.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration or a related field; plus two years of experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal. OR six years of experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
