Nature of Work
Incumbent in this position is responsible for envisioning, planning, organizing, coordinating and managing the City's Complete Streets Program and transit/transportation policy for accommodating users of all modes of travel and persons of all abilities. Examples of modes of transit include streets, sidewalks, rail infrastructures and emerging forms of travel such as scooters and shared vehicles. Duties include: serving as the City's Bicycle/Pedestrian Coordinator and the steering committee chairperson for the City's Complete Streets Program; formulating programmatic goals, budgetary needs, grant applications, action plans and coordinating projects with other City departments, government agencies, consultants, advocacy groups and elected officials; analyzing crash data and conducting field studies, investigations and inspections, and facilitating community meetings and taskforces.

A Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Urban Planning, Community Development, Transportation Planning, or a related field; plus four years of planning/development/policy experience that includes implementing/accommodating a variety of modes of travel for persons of all abilities. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request.
