Salary

  • Minimum: $31,460.00
  • Maximum: $43,654.00

Nature of Work

Incumbents in this position are responsible for enforcing City ordinances regarding weeds and debris by verifying violations, issuing citations and following up to ensure abatement.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience performing construction, residential and/or commercial property inspections that includes handling customer complaints, collecting data, preparing reports and keeping records. OR, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.

Your employment experience and training will be used to determine whether you meet the entrance requirements for this position and to compute your experience and training evaluation. MEDICAL:  Candidates will be required to pass a "Drug Screen" as part of the medical examination.

VETERAN'S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application.  The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
