HOURLY PAY RANGE: $20.34 - $28.65
Positions are paid on an hourly basis, are not eligible for Employee Benefits Program and do not require City residency.
Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position provide technical production assistance in the development and production of programming projects and in the operation of television production equipment for the local government access channel (formerly Channel 10) in either Behind the Camera (Technical) or Before the Camera (Talent) positions. Technical duties include studio and remote videotaping with digital and/or analog cameras, editing video footage, creating screen graphics, constructing studio sets, giving floor direction and other general video production work. Talent duties include conducting interviews, serving as host for programs, writing production scripts/story package development and recording voice-over narration.

A Bachelor’s degree in a Communications-related field; plus one year of full-time paid video/TV production experience, such as operation of cameras and editing equipment, on-camera performance, script writing, narration, or other related production work. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must be able to present driver’s license upon request. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.
