Normal entry salary is $54,860.

Nature of Work

Incumbents in this position are responsible for the supervision, monitoring, and management of Community Development Administration staff assisting with federal (HUD), state, and local development projects and programs. Duties include supervising subordinate staff; reviewing and approving housing development financing, site, and building construction plans; and monitoring residential rehabilitation and new construction development projects.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field; plus four years of experience supervising or monitoring community or housing development projects. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

License:  Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis.  Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request.  Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.  Applicants who do not possess a Missouri driver's license will be required to present a "Driving Record Check" from their State's Department of Motor Vehicles.  

Documentation of academic credentials must be submitted with the Employment Application or upon request.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience in construction; managing non-profit mixed-finance development projects; or an active real estate license.
