Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position assist in the delivery, administration and/or monitoring of the Bureau of Security Operations functions and special projects in the Airport Police Unit. Duties may include assisting with: updating the TSA-approved Airport Security Program; reviewing tenant construction applications; documenting potential security compromises and writing violation notices; notifying appropriate Airport management of projects that may affect security; inspecting grounds and construction sites for compliance; reviewing and submitting badge applications and collecting and analyzing data to create reports.

A Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.
Documentation of academic credentials must be submitted with the Employment Application or upon request.
A limited number of applicants may be scheduled for the Oral Interview based on an evaluation of their qualifying education, training and experience as listed on the Employment Application. Employees assigned to St. Louis Lambert International Airport may be eligible for a commuting allowance of $141.00 bi-weekly. A ten-year character investigation will be conducted in accordance with FAA regulations for positions at St. Louis Lambert International Airport.
