Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for providing secretarial and clerical support requiring independent judgment, initiative and considerable knowledge of departmental operating policies and procedures.

Three years of recent secretarial experience. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be proficient in keyboarding and using word processing, spreadsheet, and database computer applications.
A limited number of applicants may be scheduled for the Written Test based on an evaluation of their qualifying education, training and experience as listed on the Employment Application. Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute to a fully completed application. When completing the Employment History section of the application, include reasons for changes in employers and explain any gaps in employment. Incomplete and/or carelessly completed applications will not be considered.
VETERAN'S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application. The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
Some positions may require candidates to pass a “Character Investigation” prior to appointment.
Employees assigned to St. Louis Lambert International Airport may be eligible for commuting allowance of $141.00 bi-weekly.
A ten-year character investigation will be conducted in accordance with FAA regulations for positions with the Airport Authority.
