Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position perform administrative duties for the Street Department such as meeting with City officials and the public to resolve complaints and coordinate street maintenance construction projects. Duties include: monitoring and addressing issues involving solid and yard waste, recycling, bulk pick-up, paving, potholes, street cleaning, snow/ice removal, signing, striping, street lights and traffic signals; working with Alderpersons on capital projects and changes to traffic controls; representing the Street Department at ward/neighborhood association meetings and monitoring permit inspections on construction projects.

An Associate's degree or successful completion of a recognized two-year training program in construction technology; plus three years of street maintenance/construction or inspection experience. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present license upon request.
