Position Specifications

Incumbents in this position are responsible for providing project management support for division projects.  Duties include building, maintaining, and managing data collection and reporting requirements; supporting program evaluation needs which includes leveraging analytics, research, and long-term thinking to help identify information and patterns in data that can be used to inform program development and/or performance; developing written instructions and to assist in training users on new programs and procedures, as well as designing report layouts and supporting public reporting needs.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Criminology, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field; plus two years of experience conducting statistical research, data analysis, or leveraging data in a research-oriented capacity. OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Documentation of academic credentials must be submitted upon request.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience with SalesForce OR experience validating, cleaning, and analyzing data from multiple sources is highly desirable.

CITY RESIDENTS PREFERENCE POINTS:  City residents who pass an examination for a position in the classified service and do not receive any other preference will receive a five (5) point preference on a scale of 100 points on the exam. An additional one (1) point shall be added to the passing score of City residents who receive any other preference on a scale of 100 points. City residents must have resided in the City for at least one (1) year at the time of filing their application to be eligible for the preference points.
