Streets Winter Weather Preparedness and Response

Clearing our city's streets of ice and snow is a critical function of the Street Division, requiring a multi-pronged approach to help ensure we have the equipment, personnel, and plans in place when winter weather approaches.

Latest Updates

  • 3/01/26:
    • 10:00 a.m. Crews are out today pretreating arterial routes and will be on standby overnight in the event of accumulation.
  • 1/29/26:
    • Today crews are continuing to clear snow piles in Downtown and plow trouble spots throughout the city.
  • 1/28/26:
    • Last evening crews focused on removing snow piles from Downtown parking lots and lanes, and will return to plowing residential streets today.
  • 1/26/26:
    • 9:30 p.m. Crews are again working overnight to clear arterials, secondaries & hill routes. Additional residential streets will see plows in the morning.
