Participate in the Clean Up Our Community Program, for Tornado-Impacted Areas

How to request dumpsters, handwashing stations, and porta-potties for your community cleanup event or project in the tornado impact area.

Overview

Eligible organizations may submit a request for:

  • Up to three roll-off dumpsters per event. Dumpsters available for three days per request; additional dates may be requested
    • Example: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with a schedule pick of the following Monday.
  • Tools and supplies to support volunteers.

Preparation

Ensure you meet the requirements:

  • Your event is within the tornado impact area.
  • Your event is at least two weeks away (requests must be submitted with two weeks’ notice).

Prepare to provide the following:

  • Organization and event details.
  • Estimated number of volunteers.
  • Number of dumpsters, porta-potties and handwashing stations needed.
  • Proposed dropoff and pickup times.

What to Expect

  • You will receive an email receipt confirming your submission.
  • Within 48 hours, your request will be approved or denied by email with additional information.
  • The Recovery Office will handle the requested equipment delivery and pickup.
  • After your event, your expected to share photos and messages on social media and tag #stlrecovery.
