Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for providing practical nursing care for an assigned public health program to patients in clinic settings, homeless shelters, at home visitations or other public health settings.

Graduation from a state accredited school of Practical Nursing.
Licenses: Must be licensed by the Missouri State Board of Nursing as a Practical Nurse at the time of filing application and while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application. Please note licenses on the Employment Application. Applicants who do not possess a Missouri driver's license will be required to present a "Driving Record Check" from their State's Department of Motor Vehicles at the Oral Interview.
Documentation of academic credentials and licenses must be submitted at the time of the Oral Interview.
A limited number of applicants may be scheduled for the Oral Interview based on an evaluation of their qualifying education, training and experience as listed on the Employment Application. Include reasons for changes in employers and explain any gaps in employment history. Incomplete and/or carelessly completed applications will not be considered. Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute to a fully completed application.
VETERAN'S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application or at the time of the Oral Interview. The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
