Nature of Work

Incumbents in this position perform a variety of bookkeeping and clerical duties to support the fiscal management activities of City departments/agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience performing bookkeeping/accounting duties; OR an Associate’s degree or sixty semester hours in Accounting or Business Administration including the successful completion of nine semester hours in Accounting; plus one year of experience performing bookkeeping/accounting duties; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Prior experience must demonstrate familiarity with PC-based spreadsheet software such as Excel and word processing software such as Microsoft Word.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience working with grant-funded programs.
