This examination’s eligible list will be used to fill per performance vacancies. Per performance positions are paid $15.13 on an hourly basis, are not eligible for the Employees Benefits Program and do not require City residency.
Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for performing data/file entry, operating collating, bursting and printing equipment, loading tape and performing routine clerical duties such as maintaining activity logs.

One year of experience using a PC with word processing and spread sheet software in an office environment. OR one year of coursework in data processing or computer science. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Documentation of academic credentials (if applicable) must be submitted at the time of the Oral Interview.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience operating a mainframe computer. Previous experience working with GIS systems.
A limited number of applicants may be scheduled for the Oral Interview based on an evaluation of their qualifying education, training and experience as listed on the Employment Application. Include reasons for changes in employers and explain any gaps in employment on the application. Incomplete and/or carelessly completed applications will not be considered. VETERAN'S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application or at the time of the Oral Interview. The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
