Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for planning, conducting and supervising audits of general business operations of the City of St. Louis in order to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and applicable laws and procedures.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business degree with a major in Accounting; plus two years of professional auditing or accounting experience. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Documentation of academic credentials must be provided upon request.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Governmental auditing experience and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) and/or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification(s) is highly preferred.
