Position Specifications
Incumbents in this position are responsible for coordinating and supervising employees who are providing men's health, smoking cessation, healthy homes, FoodRx, asthma and lead education programs designed for prevention and to reduce risk. Duties include: coordinating the design and presentation of educational programs, scheduling and managing of community outreach; developing program policies and procedures, and reports of outcomes and measures. The incumbent will be expected to build and nurture critical community partnerships/collaborations with diverse community agencies.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree Public Health, Health Management, Social Work, or a closely related field; and two years of recent progressively responsible experience planning, developing, and supervising or monitoring community Outreach health programs; OR, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A Master's degree in a closely related field may substitute for one year of the above required experience.

License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application. Please note type of license, number, and class and expiration date on the Employment Application.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's degree in Public Health, Health Management, Social Work, or a closely related field; training in chronic disease prevention services; knowledge of men's health prevention services, and program development; two years of previous supervisory/managerial experience in Public Health infection control with some grant writing experience is also highly preferred.

An additional one (1) point shall be added to the passing score of City residents who receive any other preference on a scale of 100 points. City residents must have resided in the City for at least one (1) year at the time of filing their application to be eligible for the preference points.
