Associate Circuit Judge Michael F. Stelzer has been appointed to serve as a Circuit Judge on the 22nd Judicial Circuit, which covers the City of St. Louis. Gov. Jay Nixon made the appointment to fill a vacancy on the circuit created by the appointment of the Honorable Angela T. Quigless to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.
Judge Stelzer has served on the bench in St. Louis since 2004 and has presided over various types of court dockets. He obtained his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Judge Stelzer was one of three applicants submitted to Gov. Nixon for consideration.
