Cass & I-44 Redevelopment
Summary
This Board Bill seeks to approve a Chapter 99 Redevelopment Plan and Blighting Study for the Cass Avenue and I-44 Redevelopment Area. The proposed Bill does not allow for use of eminent domain within the area. The objective of the Redevelopment Plan is to encourage redevelopment of the Area with commercial uses that will serve as an entrance to the city from the north and east. Staff supports up to twenty-five (25) years of tax abatement.
